Dave Gehl grew up all over the US, traveling from port to port with his Navy parents. He attended the University of California, Santa Cruz, receiving B.A.'s in European History and Language Studies. He has lived, worked, and/or studied in Italy, Belgium, Norway, Russia, and Senegal, and traveled extensively throughout the continental U.S., Western and Eastern Europe, West Africa, Morocco, and India. He loves languages, and at one time or another has spoken around ten of them to varying degrees. At the moment he can only speak English. Currently he is wandering around China.
